Pagato terms for sellers
Version 2026-10-28. Pagato is operated by Solid Gold Performance, South Africa ("we").
1. What Pagato is
Pagato makes payment links. Your buyer pays by card on Paystack's page. Paystack pays your share into the bank account you connected. Pagato is not a bank, does not hold your money and is not the seller of your goods.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give true details.
- The bank account you connect must be yours or your business's.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for sales made from your account.
3. Fees
For each paid sale we keep 2.5% of the amount. Paystack's own card fee also comes out of your share. There is no monthly fee. We will give you 30 days' notice by email before changing our fee.
4. Your goods, refunds and chargebacks
- You are the seller. You are responsible for your goods, their description, delivery, returns and any refund your buyer is owed by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
- If a buyer disputes a card payment (a chargeback) or you refund a sale, the amount, and any fee Paystack charges for it, is yours to pay. If it is first recovered from us, you must repay us within 7 days.
- Hand over goods only when Pagato shows PAID.
5. What you may not sell
Anything illegal in South Africa, anything Paystack does not allow (see Paystack's list of restricted businesses), prescription medicines, weapons, counterfeit goods, adult content, gambling, cannabis or other drugs, or anything sold by misleading buyers.
6. Suspending accounts
We may pause or close your account if we reasonably suspect fraud, a breach of these terms, unpaid chargebacks, or if Paystack asks us to. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.
7. Our responsibility
We work to keep Pagato available and correct, but card payments depend on Paystack and the banks. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by their systems, by your buyers, or by goods you hand over before Pagato shows PAID. Nothing here limits rights you have under South African law that cannot be limited.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will email you before changes that affect you take effect. South African law applies.
